Who am I?

I am a scientist and educator with background in sedimentology and stratigraphy. After receiving a B.S. in Geology from the São Paulo State University, I completed my master dissertation on sedimentology and stratigraphy on fluvio-lacustrine successions with a regional correlation purpose. Then I finished my doctoral thesis where I studied a mixed carbonate-siliciclastic sequence in a lacustrine basin subjected to short lived marine epicontinental ingressions. As a posdoctoral fellow my work focused on the microbial Pre-Salt carbonates of Santos and Campos basins, investigating the origin of silica e clay minerals and its implication of reservoir geology. Currently I work as Assistant Professor in the School of Mine of the Federal University of Ouro Preto. My themes of investigation covers a broad area in sedimentary basin analysis, such as mixed sedimentation, sequence stratigraphy, microbial carbonates, taphonomy, paleoecology, biostratigraphy and chemostratigraphy.
