The Advanced Stratigraphy Course aims to present to the student, criteria of subdivision, classification and interpretation of sedimentary sequences in several scales of analyses (outcrop to subsurface). The course also provides the necessary elements for practical use of the techniques of sequence stratigraphy and introduces the concepts in the light of: (I) the Brazilian Mesozoic rift basins; (II) the identification of natural resources such as oil, gas and water.
