Who am I?

Dr. Thiago Silva is Adjunct Professor of the Department of Production Engineering at the Institute of Applied and Exact Sciences of the Federal University of Ouro Preto (DEENP - ICEA / UFOP).  He holds a bachelor's degree (2006) and a master's degree (2009) in Production Engineering from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. In 2015, he completed his doctorate in Production Engineering at the Federal University of Minas Gerais with an internship at the Division of Computing Science and Mathematics, University of Stirling (UK), promoted by the PDSE / CAPES.

He has experience in consulting already having worked in projects for national and multinational companies. The focus of his research is on the use of quantitative tools to support decision making with applications in logistics, investment analysis, R & D project management, and healthcare services.


He is currently the chair of the Production Engineering department (DEENP) at ICEA, a researcher at the Simulation and System Optimization Laboratory (LASOS), and member of the Production Engineering Graduate Program at UFOP.
